It's no secret that Rachel Bilson knows how to dress.

Since her breakout role as Summer Roberts on The O.C., Bilson has certainly solidified her status as a style icon for her generation. Bilson’s sense of style is magnetic; her understated, vintage-chic wardrobe turns the heads of fashionistas everywhere, whether she is out running errands or strutting her stuff on the red carpet.
Her number one style priority? Comfort. Bilson’s fave outfit is undoubtedly skinny jeans paired with a simple T, bohemian-inspired accessories and a messy bun. And she knows how to rock it.

She’s inspired by the wardrobes of boho-royalty like Kate Moss and the Olsen twins, and other celebrities but it’s safe to say that Bilson has secured her spot among their ranks. Evidenced by the fact that she frequently tops the most prestigious ‘Best Dressed’ lists, writes a fashion advice column for In Style Magazine, and just launched an online shoe collection in collaboration with Beachmint.

Amidst all this fashion greatness, Bilson still manages to find time for her first love, acting. She’s making a comeback this fall with her new CW series, Hart of Dixie, where she plays Zoe Hart, a type-A, New York City surgeon who relocates to a small practice in rural Alabama.
Despite its small-town setting, Dixie will surely showcase Bilson’s signature style. The show’s costume designer, Meredith Pollack, revealed her secret weapon in styling the actors: mixing high-end vintage pieces from Los Angeles boutiques with basics from mainstream stores such as J Crew.

It’s easy to imagine Bilson rocking these Valentino studded pumps, for example, that are worn by Zoe on the show.  Whether she’s in costume, on set or rocking her own wardrobe, there’s no arguing that Bilson radiates impeccable style. And it appears that she’s has been prepping for her role as fashion icon since childhood. In a recent interview with In Style, Bilson revealed that she’s been preparing her daily ensembles since her elementary school days. “I know this sounds terribly shallow, but I’ve been mapping out my outfits for the next day every day since I was little, even before high school.”
